Confident Girls, Bright Futures
The 8-Week Confident Girls, Bright Futures for Junior High School (JHS) girls is more than a program; it’s a necessary element in their personal growth and displays our passion for the future of Ghana’s young women. Covering self-confidence, integrity, peer pressure resolution, and journaling, the class flows organically, creating a safe space for girls to find their voice and be heard.
We believe showing care and attention and truly listening to them is vital. At VMGEF, we are dedicated to these young women’s growth and success. Taught by Jahzara, Head Teacher and Executive Director, this program has already reached 5 schools, empowering the next generation of Confident Girls!​​​​​

Building an Entreprenuer (BAE) Program
Building an Entrepreneur (BAE) is a transformative program for Senior High School (SHS) students in Ghana, equipping them with the tools to create and launch successful businesses. Students learn business planning, financial literacy, marketing strategies, and leadership skills through interactive workshops, hands-on projects, and mentorship. The program culminates in a business pitch competition, where participants present their innovative ideas to a panel of experts. Winners receive up to GHS 10,000 in grant funding and one year of personalized business mentorship. This initiative fosters creativity, resilience, and confidence, empowering young entrepreneurs to shape their futures and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s economy. The official launching of the program is scheduled for January 2025

VMGEF believes in empowering the youth and women of our community. Our program will provide education, skills training, and mentorship to help them achieve their goals.

Community Garden and Urban Farming
VMGEF is committed to supporting sustainable agriculture and farming practices. With our program we are partnering with The Garden Boy to provide urban farming education and an opportunity to learn how to grow food basically anywhere. We will provide education and training to adults and children, as well as resources to help them grow and improve their home crops and gardens.
